It's A Three Dog Night For DonthasseltheHoff   Legend has it that in order to keep warm on the coldest of nights pioneers and adventures the world over would call into bed with them not one, not two, but three dogs for added heat. DontHasseltheHoff must have been feeling a little chilly as the two trophies he's already got on his 2021 shelf just weren't doing the trick. And so with a little gusto and grit he called forth for a third trophy to be added to his season huddle and the 3M Open obliged. One can only assume he'll sleep easy now that he's got a third tucked under his arm. Surely he'll have no need for a fourth?   The final tally after the FedexCup bonus points were added got TheHoff over the line as Louis and Vegas tied for 3rd and put him ahead of the runners-up by a slim 3 point margin. TheHoff had cooled off considerably since his hot start to the season - winning twice in the first seven weeks. Since then he had only carded 4 Top 10s but none in the past 9 weeks. He caught the fantasy golf world by surprise as he retuned to championship form last week and captured his league leading 3rd win.   This is his 7th Top 10 and 4th Top 3. He's now collected $85 fantasy bucks which are technically the same as real bucks as long as the commish doesn't spend them before the season is over.    "It just felt like it was my week - I can't explain it" TheHoff said in a virtual interview as he's currently on the road. "When I entered the draft room on Wed night I just shut my eyes and let the universe take over. I felt good about my picks and this one just seemed to be predestined." TOP 10 FINISH The margin was slim last week as only 3 points separated the winner from runners-up HollySanders and Sugar Hill. Both already have a W on their card this season but while Holly has cooled in the second half Sugar Hill has come alive, carding 6 of his 9 Top 10s since the PGA Championship in June.     This was a huge week for Grippin&Rippin as he nearly got the win, coming up just 6 points shy, but he did take over the segment lead. The 2nd year vet is chasing his first segment title which would make 2021 more than twice as lucrative as his rookie season.   Going4theGreensboro snagged a much needed Top 10 finish as he continues his pursuit of both the segment and season race, 97 points and 48 points behind, respectively. Going for the green is certainly his motto at this point.    Grandpa Levs would need something miraculous to happen at this point if he wanted to catch the segment leader. He's 193 points back but with 5 weeks left he could pick a couple winners and survive another cut line blood bath. It's possible.  Driving Mrs. Daisy went 16 long weeks without a Top 10 before finally breaking that unfortunate streak last week. Her last appearance here came back in week 12 at the Corales Puntacana. She is in danger of having her first ever season without a payday unless she can turn it around in the last 5 weeks. Roll Up seemingly was turning around his season during the spring segment where he won The Honda Classic. But since then he's been blanked on the Top 10 apperance list and correspondingly fallen down the charts. One final push could pad his bank account if he can string a few solid performances together.    Talkeetna98 has struggled this year compared to his typical numbers and is down in just about every category. His current win rate of 3.5% is down from his career rate of 5.6%, his Top 10 rate of 28.5% is down from a 49% career and his Top 3 rate of 7.1% is down from 18.7% career. You just gotta chalk this up to an off year for the 7th year veteran.   617 to 616 must have been biding his time to perfection as he snagged a Top 10 at the most opportune moment. He'd been struggling a bit - scoring 0 Top 10s in the past 4 weeks. But just when the cut line blood bath took place again he was ready to pounce, finishing in 1oth and jumping up the season leaderboard 3 spots and into 2nd overall. He's yet to make any money on fantasy tour so this could be his ticket to a substantial payday if he can hold on, or even take the lead.    The Race for the Jackson Cup experienced perhaps the biggest shakeup it's had all season as another blood bath ensued following the cut line and the unexpected withdraw of Hank Lebioda. Reeds, Halve, ByeBye and Gophers were reeling with incomplete rosters while Vegas, 617 to and Greensboro capitalized royally by moving up in the standings. Now with 5 weeks left to play and 250 points separating 1st from 10th there are still a few who can plot their way to the top while others will have to execute the nuclear option if they want to take home the cup.  With his win on Sunday DontHasseltheHoff nears the $100 season earnings mark along with several others who have a clear path above the hundo line. In the remaining 5 weeks there'll be $700 up for grabs between tournaments, segment and final season positions so time to start ramping up.    This week is a rare off-week which gives the league some much needed time to rest ahead of the final push. The Olympic golf tournament is taking place in Tokyo where 65 of the world's most decent-ish players will compete for a medal that means very little in the world of professional golf. After that it's back to business as the WGC Championship will take place in Memphis where $50 will be awaiting the winner.   Kings Deer will yet again try to defend his title as this marks his last opportunity to successfully defend one of his 4-in-a-row wins from last year. With the Summer Segment and Season race in a dead heat it'll only take a missed cut or blow up round to upend it all over again.
