It looked like Bmerk was about to get his second (solo) victory of the young season but in the 11th hour No 3 Putts Ever got the needed points to catch him. Bmerk has had a wild ride up the leaderboard, entering the Top 10 in week 6 and now sits in 2nd alone. He now has 4 Top 10s and 2 wins. No 3 Putts Ever finally got above 20th on Sunday and sits in 18th. Another finish like this and he'll be on the first page of the leaderboard. Like his co-winner, 3 Putts now has 4 Top 10s and 2 wins as well.
Halve Ouimet carded his league leading 3rd Top 3 of the season on Sunday and is poised to capture just the second Segment Championship of his 8 year career. When he won his first in 2018 - a Winter Segment title as well - he also had 3 Top 3s.
Sugar Hill had his highest finish to date with a solo 4th and gets bumped 3 spots up into 14th overall. A much needed finish as he'd been losing ground in consecutives weeks prior to the WGC.
Gophers has been on the move for 4 strait weeks, moving up the board each time and now finds himself in 4th overall after his 5th Top 10.
Bushwood Slicer gets back into the overall Top 10 after a 2 week absence. He's making strides to maintain the reputation of the Swanson name as GreenJacket is not currently pulling his weight.
Nick Hoffman is slowly putting something together as he's got 3 Top 10s and 1 Top 3 in the last 4 weeks. And he's gained ground in the standings every single week starting in 29th back in week 2.
Smooth Greens is on the move - jumping from 19th to 9th in 4 weeks' time. Forecast says smooth sailing as the Spring Segment rolls around.
Reed's Rule Book lost a little ground in the overall race but still is maintaining at 5th overall. With 4 Top 10s overall he's off to a solid start and pacing himself for a big push at an undetermined time.
Grandpa Levs collected his 4th Top 10 on Sunday and is squarely in the mix for the Jackson Cup in 6th place. One of 2 Levins' in the overal Top 10 currently, there's a decent possiblity it becomes a family affair in the final hour.

SEGMENT UPDATE
Halve Ouimet is clearly making a statement as he not only expanded his segment leadbut carded his 2nd Top 3 in as many tournaments. Bmerk overtook Vegas for the 2nd place chaser but at 163 points back he'll need something special to catch Ouimet. A Trifecta and Dark Horse might do it but that might just be too much to ask for.

EARNINGS UPDATE
Bmerk doubled his season earnings after the split check with No 3 Putts who himself jumped into 3rd overall with his share. Bmerk and DontHasseltheHoff are now repeat winners within the first segment and they're starting to spread the field on the earnings board.

STAT CORNER
In the modern era of fantasy golf (post 2014), at which point stats started being tracked, the Arnold Palmer Invitational has been held 6 times (2015-2020) and several teams have proven that they just feel comfortable on the Bay Hill track.
Vegas Vito (4 Top 10s, 2 Top 3s): currently has streak of 3 Top 10s at this event (2018-2020) - 2019 & 2018 were Top 3s
Kikakee Tees (4 Top 10s): also has active Top 10 streak of 3 - still looking for first Top 3 at this event
DaHoffa (3 Top 10s): ALSO has active streak of 3 Top 10s!
Two other teams have 3 career Top 10s in this event: Kings Deer & Gophers (1 Top 3 in 2016)
None of them have won it...

SCHEDULE
- Final event of the Winter Segment -
The final week of the opening segment has arrived in the form of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Apart from countless tributes to The King here's a bit of history from the event.
In 1990 Greg Norman was at the peak of his game. The Shark and Larry Mize were dueling it out at Arnie's place and the match came down to the 18th. They were both tied in the final few holes, Mize a couple groups ahead, and all eyes were on one of them to win. But no one saw Robert Gamez, a 23 year old rookie, who'd quietly staid in contention and was just one shot back of both of them as he stood in the fairway on 18. Norman was about to tee off on 17 and moments after Gamez struck his approach shot on 18 Norman was stunned by the roar that went up. Gamez had miraculously and resoundingly holed his 2nd shot for eagle and jumped into the lead by one stroke. Neither Mize or Norman were able to muster a response after that and Gamez won the 2nd of his eventual 3 career PGA Tour victories.
Bay Hill Course: Par 72 | 7,381 yards
“[Fantasy] golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is without a doubt the greatest [fantasy] game mankind has ever invented.” -Arnold Palmer
