Halve Ouimet carded his 4th Top 10 and 2nd Top 3 of the season and is holding strong in 1st for the segment with just two weeks to go. He's hoping the 95 point lead is enough to keep Vegas at bay.
Despite no one being able to figure out what's behind OffConstantly1522's strange team name he doesn't seem to mind as he collects his 1st Top 10 and Top 3 of the season. The name will be debated for segments to come but what can't be argued is that OffConstantly1522 has finally captured a big finish.
No 3 Putts Ever was also the receipient of the Dark Horse prize and now has $10 to his fantasy name. His 3rd Top 10 came after a two week hiatus from the Big 10 circle but he's now looking to make it two in a row at the WGC this week. He's going to need a concerted push to get back in the season as he's currently in 25th.
Vegas Vito was hoping and praying that Tony Finau's Puerto Rico curse was finally coming to an end. Despite it already being broken by Victor Hoveland in December, there is a stigma around Tony's first win at the Puerto Rico Open. For every winner of the event besides Hoveland there have been no follow up wins on Tour. Tony Finau won the event in 2016 and now has finished runner up 8 times since. Vegas will take his 4th Top 10 though and has designs on catching Halve Ouimet in the final segment sprint.
After a 5th place finish at Genesis in 2019 Gophers seems to be losing ground at this event as he snagged a 6th place finish this year. But in 2021 he's gaining ground by the bucket full. Gophers has gone from 21st to rth in just 3 weeks' time. He's making a case for another Jackson Cup at just 168 points off the leader's pace.
GreenJacketGoldJacket somehow managed to score a 7th place finish last week and lose ground in the season race. He's fighting dog and devil with No 3 Putts Ever over 25th place but was bumped down to 26th when No 3 Putts snagged 4th via Max Homa. GreenJacket has his work cut out for him now as it'll be a long patient climb back up the big board.
Tourball jumped into the Top 10 with a little help from his friend Max Homa and his 55 FedexCup points. Tourball gets a $10 payout with the Dark Horse prize and collects his 4th Top 10 of the season. He's currently just inside the season Top 10 in 9th place and is looking to stay steady with the leader as he makes up ground over the spring and summer.
Journeyman Reed's Rule Book has been lurking inside the overall Top 10 now for 6 of the 7 weeks played so far and thrice has he been found in 4th place by week's end. And this is his second consecutive week in 4th place at that. Could this be his own Puerto Rico-style curse: doomed to rise as high as 4th place but never enter the Top 3? Unlikely but worth a ponder. This 9th place finish at Genesis is Reed's 3rd Top 10.
Roll Up keeps showing up as he carded his league co-leading 4th Top 10 of the season on Sunday. He's knocking on the door of a Top 3 and just needs that little extra umph to get him over the hump. Look for a big finish from Roll Up in the coming weeks.

SEGMENT UPDATE
Front runner Halve Ouimet held strong on Sunday and further solidified his segment lead. Vegas Vito is still threatening though and if he can narrow the gap this week there'll still be hope for him in the final showdown of the winter segment.
DontHasseltheHoff is playing the dark horse contender to this segment race as he's now all-of-a-sudden in the mix after his 2nd win. Could TheHoff play spoiler and make up 67 points per week in the next two events? Unlikely but don't tell his fans that.

EARNINGS UPDATE
Several teams captured the Dark Horse prize on Sunday with the win of Max Homa. He was ranked 91st in the world and as such he deposited an extra $10 into the fantasy account of each team that had him on their active roster in the 4th round.
DontHasseltheHoff also becomes the first repeat winner of the season and catapults up the earnings board into 1st.
No 3 Putts Ever, Tourball, Kings Deer, Halve Ouimet and DontHasseltheHoff all collected the Dark Horse price via Max Homa and added $10 to their accounts.

SCHEDULE UPDATE
If the Genesis Invitational served at the "cut line" event of the segment then the WGC is "moving day." A new course and a start studded field should give plenty of options for roster variety as teams look to make up ground on the segment and season.
Kikakee Tees had a solo 2nd place finish here last year but that was in Mexico. He could really use a kick start and perhaps the WGC is what he's been waiting for.
Where Eagles Dare also had a 2nd place finish at this event in 2017 and could use a friendly course at the moment as his slide down the leaderboard has been robust as of late.
Gophers won the WGC-Workday Championship back in 2015 but has only 1 other Top 10 (2016) at the event since. He's due.
The Concession Golf Club will play host this week as the event was moved from Mexico to Florida due to Covid logistics. The course is a Nicklaus co-design and will kick off the Florida Swing as the pros will spend the next 4 weeks in the Sunshine State. The history of the club's name is based on a 2-foot putt that Jack conceded to his European competitor in the 1970 Ryder Cup to end the tournament.
It should be a good test for the grames top 50 players to duel it out in this no-cut, guaranteed payout event.
