Talkeetna's 7th consecutive winning season  It's been an eventful career for the 7th year fantasy pro out of Haverhill, MA. He cut his teeth on the local courses - both real and virtual (Golden Tee) - before gaining pro status. He's racked up some impressive stats over his career including a league-leading 12 wins.    His squad at the RBC was nearly flawless and he had enough points on his bench to get the job done twice over. A fantasy marksman, Talkeetna navigated the narrow fairways and small greens at Harbour Town to near perfection. His 3 career Top 10s here meant he was one of the favorites entering the week and he finally delivered.   In a post round interview it was clear that this win touched a nerve. "To have success like this over a 7 year period is just... I mean, wow. Everyone has ups and downs out here but I must be doing something right. I mean, to make a living playing fantasy golf... I'm one of the lucky ones."

TOP 10 FINISH

With only 3 Top 10s fifteen weeks into the season DaHoffa is in need of a run. He's trending in the right direction with this second place finish and is now in the segment race.    Tourball is happy to see his name in print again after going 8 long weeks without a Top 10. This one helps right the ship a bit as he's still looking for win #1 of 2021.   Kikakee Tees seems to be sharpening his blade(s) as he eyes a summer segment run come July. He's now collected 3 Top 10s in his last 4 events (including the win at Corales) so look for the Tees to stay on point.    One-Iron could be heating up as well as he's now gone back-to-back Top 10 finishes after being blanked for 12 weeks. The canary has stopped its cherping and One-Iron is feeling good about his new found charisma.    After his first win at the Honda Classic in week 11 Roll Up seemed to let off the gas a bit as his first Top 10 since came a month later. This can be a tough hurdle for the fantasy pro as the temptation is to rest of your laurels after a win instead of blazing full steam ahead.    GreenJacket collected his 7th Top 10 of the season (T5 in Top 10s) but feels as if the fantasy golfing gods have not been kind to him as his place in the standings is not following the same trend (16th overall).  While Top 10s are not a problem for the 2nd year vet Top 3s and avg finish are. He has 0 Top 3s and is -71 points back from the leader on average when finishing inside the Top 10.    Reed's Rule Book continues to set the pace for the spring at collected his 4th Top 10 of the segment. He's got 8 overall but he's still looking for a payday. His sights are set on the spring segment payout if he doesn't take a win before then but in generl the Rule Book is a long term investor.    Halve Ouimet was all but out of this race after the opening round. Leading the season his advantage has been chipped away at and was nearly cut in half after Thursday's round. He went to work though and made it all back by week's end with adroit and timely subs on Sunday.    HollySandersOldFace refused interviews on Sunday following the round, going strait to his jet for a flight to Florida. His finish wasn't anything to scoff at but he's perhaps a bit miffed at his inability to get higher than 9th in his last 3 Top 10s. A few more putting sessions might be in order.

The horse trading in the segment standings was pretty calm this week compared to prior weeks. Reed's not only kept his top spot but expanded his lead to 41 points over Kings Deer. DaHoffa is making a segment push as he carded his second Top 3 in 3 weeks and is now inside the Top 10. Greensboro has been steadily creeping up the board and is now within 100 points of the leader. HollySanders has collected 4 of his 5 Top 10s in the spring segment alone and only needs to average a +19 points/week differential to make up the gap over the remaining 7 weeks. The horse trading is sure to intensify as the stakes get higher.

SCHEDULE OUTLOOK The next 7 weeks will set the stage for the rest of the season. With only 1 major tournament scheduled in that stretch there'll be plenty of opportunities to let your guard down at the lesser known events. A word of advice - don't do it.

Week 16: Valspar Championship Ever been snake bit? Well you're about to. The pros head back to Florida where they'll play at the Innisbrook Resort and go toe-to-toe with the infamous Snake Pit. Known for its narrow fairways and challenging greens the Copperhead Course will see it's fair share of bogeys but the 3 hole stretch from 16-18 will sting more than most.
