Last we were beholden to a glorious site. A winner who hadn't previously won this year. Where Eagles Dare is a rare breed of team as he took the entire winter segment off before picking up the sticks in April. Apparently he was nursing a fantasy injury. But he finally broke through on Sunday by trouncing the competition at the Wyndham and won his first tourney of the year. He's only 1 of 3 teams this year who have won once.

The final four weeks of the year are on the horizon and it's going to be a dead sprint as the fields get smaller each week and the payouts get more lucrative. The total number of players will go from 125 to 100 to 70 to 30. Time to start burning those remaining starts.
Race for the Jackson Cup
Tragedy struck That's Wet last week as he somehow was left with an incomplete roster which all but decimated his chances of taking home the Jackson Cup. It's a heartbreaking outcome and one that happened to Halve Ouimet earlier this Summer as a website glitch may be to blame. Good thing Yahoo Fantasy Golf is back next year.
Whiny Little Pitch has taken over the top spot but she doesn't have much of a buffer to work with. Gophers is hot on her heels and we could expect to see a lead change in any given round. Talkeetna98 has been the rebound story of the year so far as he's come charging back from 20th place in week 9 to 3rd currently. He's got the momentum heading into the playoffs so look for Talkeetna to make moves.
Driving Miss Daisy continues to slump a bit but has still maintained an outside shot at making an aggressive move for the cup. She's currently 99 points back from Whiny and if she pulls out all the stops she could mathematically make that up in 3 weeks time.
That's Wet went from 1st to 5th in one week. It was tough to watch the savvy vet lose so much ground due to a roster malfunction but it's happened before so make sure to double and triple check your rosters over the next 4 weeks. He's 112 points back and while it's not impossible for him to regain that lost ground it's highly unlikely. But if there's anyone who can do it That's Wet is your man.
Each week of the Playoffs the payout will increase by $5. First up is the North Trust Open with a payout of $25. Then comes the Dell Technologies Championship at $30. Next is the BMW Championship at $40 followed by the final showdown at East Lake as the Tour Championship pays out $40 to the winner.
There's so much on the line over the final weeks and lots can happen as teams get aggressive. Stay alert and draft wisely. Only 4 more weeks before the 2018 First Timers League wraps for the season.
