2 Footer was riding high during the week of the Memorial Tournament. Not only was he on a tropical beach in the Caribbean he'd also just had 3 Top 10s in the previous 4 weeks. The first week of this stretch being his first win on Fantasy Tour. 2 Footer didn't let these distractions get to him though as he set sail on his fantasy ship and guided it through the angry seas of Thur/Fri's opening rounds. Always in contention but never leading he set a course for a Top 10 or perhaps a Top 3. His competition was that of Hogan's Heros - a league heavyweight who has proven to be a tough ship to outmaneuver. Hogan's would lead for the majority of the tournament but would falter on Sunday by carding only 32 final round points. 2 Footer saw his chance materialize before his very eyes. Well rested from his time spent passed out on the beach he would urge his boys on for a glorious Sunday charge. With Spieth leading the way - firing a steely 7 under - Matsuyama, Na and Furyk gave him all the additional support he needed. Although he was mid-flight and unconnected a la Sandra Bullock in The Net for much of the tournament he sensed he was on the verge. Sending positive vibes or some other voodoo crap he led his squad through the grassy terrain at Muirfield Village and cunningly captured a narrow 3 point victory for his 2nd win of the season. 2 Footer has come alive during the Spring and has a slash line of 4/2/2 for the Segment. He holds down the 9th position this Segment and has staked a claim as contender for the U.S. Open. Congrats 2 Footer.
Hogan's did double time last week as he rushed from one tournament to the next. Fresh off a solid performance at the Cape Cod Open he then flew to Ohio for Jack's tournament. Going for his third win of the season Hogan's Heros could nearly taste it. He was the front runner for the majority of the week and handed in stellar rounds on Thursday and Friday to open up. He started to give up ground though on Saturday as his C player Ryan Moore gave him zero points (while Na rode the bench with an 18 point -6). He did manage to keep Tiger on the bench the entire week which turned out to be a good idea and will continue to be a good idea ad infinitum. But like the Cape Cod Open it would be the final round where ground would be given up. Despite this missed opportunity to get another win it marks another successful finish for Hogan's as this is his 3rd Top 3 of the Spring. At just 22 points back from Segment leader he's got his eye on more than just tournament wins.
It's been 12 long weeks since the Top 3 welcomed T-Off-Killah into it's fold but on Sunday T-Off would once again ascend to this lofty status. His last Top 3 came in week 9 at the WGC with a runner-up finish. Among his 3 Top 3s on the season he's averaged a finish of just 10 points behind the winner. Now that math class is out for the summer T-Off has started to return to form. He's got 3 Top 10s in 4 weeks and this Top 3 gets him closer to his long sought after inaugural victory. He climbs 2 spots on the Season leaderboard as he looks to make up lost ground from early Spring losses.
Notables:
It was another big week for the hot handed Show and Dough as she racked up her 6th Top 10 in 7 weeks! It's a convincing statement to the league that The Show isn't going anywhere and will be hunting just as voraciously come Summer time. Her 4th place finish puts her just inside 100 points from the Spring lead but with 3 tournaments left that puts her just outside of realistic contention. She's ranked 3rd for the Spring in bonus points with 140 though which means she can pick winners. She's tasted blood and she'll be hungry for more once the new Segment starts up in July.
League heavyweight Kikakee Tees cranks out another Top 10 performance and is in hot pursuit of Freeside Links. Astoundingly, The Tees has 5 Top 10s and 2 Top 3s over his last 7 starts and of those Top 10s he's averaging a finishing place of 4th. Those are some solid numbers coming out of Nashville and you can rest assured that Kikakee is just warming up as the U.S. Open is only two weeks away.
Whiny Little Pitch ends her Top 3 streak at 2 but in the mean time she snags another Top 10 with a T6 at The Memorial. Whiny was also soaking in the rays of St. Barth's with 2 Footer as both teams remotely operated their teams from abroad. Whiny is the closest team to leader Freeside at just 20 points off the pace and with 3 weeks to go it's a near dead heat. There was no Top 10 for Freeside this week so the competition gained some ground. Whiny leads the Spring in bonus points with 170 and is primed to take the lead any week now if she can keep up the points assault.

That's Wet gained 16 points on Season front runner The Gophers by garnering his 11th Top 10 of the Season. That's Wet has been spotty as of late but solid enough to gain ground on a slumping Gophers. This T6 at Memorial marks his 4th Top 10 of the Spring. He's a hard team not to bet on for any given week but his lone win came way back in week 2 at the Sony Open.
Larry Philpot - that's right, THE Larry Philpot - pokes his head above the fantasy waters to snag a Top 10 and then dove back under perhaps only to be heard from again during the Summer migration season. This is Larry's 4th Top 10 on the Season, 2 of which came in the first 2 weeks. Larry is on the fantasy endangered species list as his roster has been a carry over from week 15. It's not a bad roster but when it's on autopilot like that he'll run out of starts in the very near future.
The Season's 7th place team Baby Draw comes in at 9th place at Muirfield Village and gets his 11th Top 10 overall. It's one hell of a Season so far for the Baby but perhaps with such numbers he expected more. As mentioned in the season recap last year "Baby Draw was probably the best team in the league to not win a segment or season championship." Hopefully that won't be the case again this year - for his sake, not everyone else's.
Wrapping things up this week was a pair of T10s as Chubbs Peterson and Where Eagles Dare made last ditch efforts to get inside the Top 10. For Eagles it's been a solid Segment with 5 Top 10s and 1 Top 3 but he'd trade them all for that elusive win. He's a perpetual contender now and holds down the Spring's 6th spot and potentially could catch the leader who's just 90 points in front. It would take one hell of a 3 week tear though. Chubbs did something he hasn't done all season last week by stringing together back-to-back Top 10s. Could this be the second coming of Chubbs Peterson? He did have two early season wins but a repeat of such fortunes is unlikely. Look for Chubbs to make more of a regular appearance on the Top 10 come Summer time.

In one sense, the next tournament on Tour is just a warm up for the main event. The boys head to Memphis for the FedEx St. Jude Classic where last year's champ Better Than Most was - well - better than all of them. Everyone will be looking to fine tune their game at the TPC Southwind as the following week is the U.S. Open. There's only 3 weeks left in the Segment and right now is what you'd call moving week. If Whiny, Hogan's or Kikakee is going to overtake Freeside they'd better start moving.
