Freeside Takes Major Title and Wins Big at PGA Championship

Following the WGC it was time for the fourth and final major of the season and up this point the majors had been dominated by top tier teams. But the winner would come from the middle of the pack and get only his second win all season. Freeside Links put the competition to bed as he fielded the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 7th place finishers all week. He also reaches the milestone of being the second player all year to draft all three of the top 3 finishers although he missed the opportunity for bonus points as he never played the third place finisher Fowler. No matter - he currently sits in 7th for the segment but finds himself only 29 points out of 3rd place at the moment. This marks his league leading 13th top 3 finish. The Cinderella story of the week though was dark horse Lafferty Daniel & Gilmore Happy. He's remained in the shadows the entire season but made an heroic charge for the front last week. He would come up just short in the end but on one of the biggest stages of the season he would get his first top 3 all year. He's actually been playing quite well as of late coming in 4th place the two previous weeks. He now sits alone in 5th for the segment and has a realistic shot at placing in the money with a second place finish. And rounding out the top three for the PGA Championship with yet another top three finish - her 4th in a row - is Show & Dough. She has be spotty all season but has the ability to show flashes of greatness. She looks to end the season on a good note and hopes to be a contender next season.

With only 5 weeks left in the season the clear front runner has emerged. Strangers has been nothing if not consistent and has opened up a near 100 point lead on second place Baby Draw. If he can stay steady and finish strong he'll take the inaugural season championship and the prize money. The second spot is a little more precarious at the moment as Buddy The Bull andBetter Than Most are within 45 points. Money is still on the line and battles are still to be fought. Next stop: the often forgotten and never overrated Wyndham Championship in North Carolina.
